I Am Using Augmented Betamethasone Dipropionate Ointment Above My Ankles

I am using augmented betamethasone dipropionate ointment above my ankles I am to use ointment twice a day.I have compression hose but was told by pharmacist that my legs could be burned if they were covered.I am a bank teller and stand all day therefore my feet and legs swell. The ointment is 0.05% and I have been using it about eleven days. Thank you for your response,
