I Am Wondering About Two Medications My Husband Was Just

I am wondering about two medications my husband was just prescribed after knee replacement. One is Hydrocodine/acetaminophen (2 every 4 hours), and the other is Meloxicam (1 at bedtime). How close together can they be taken and will they interact if taken in the night for pain?
