I Am Wondering Whether To Get A Pneumonia Vaccine. I

I am wondering whether to get a pneumonia vaccine. I had pneumonia 35 years ago but have never had it again. I am basically a healthy, active 67 year old woman. A friend of ours got pneumonia last year and it was serious enough that he has permanent damage. My husband wants me to get the vaccine. Is it safe and do I need it?
