I An Experiencing Pain In My Lower Back Area On

I an experiencing pain in my lower back area on both sides of my spinal cord, not necessarily on my spine. Doesn't feel muscular, rather like trouble with an internal organ. I don't know what organs are located there. First time it happened it felt like I waited too long to urinate and it made my kidneys hurt. But I don't believe I waited and I think the kidneys are located higher in the body. This has happened about every 2 weeks for about 2 months. Usually last about 24 hours. Tonight the discomfort has me not sleeping.
