I Applied Raw Garlic Paste In Hopes To Get Rid

I applied raw garlic paste in hopes to get rid fungal infection on my face. I left it on for 20-30 mins the 1st night. It burnt and caused skin to turn red-brown maybe purplish. I thought it must be working since it stings. I repeated the second nite and agiain, it burnt so bad, blistered slightly but does not hurt. I had come to the conclusion that the burnt is a bad sign of mishandling the garlic paste on my face, second degree burn it was, about 1 inch in diameter. On that second day, I applied sterile Manuka honey pad to start the healing process. My question: how long before the burnt skin peels of and will it cause permanent discoloration? With the Manuka honey treatment, will it help minimize any discoloration and/or scar?
