I Badly Bruised My Shin A Couple Of Days Ago

I badly bruised my shin a couple of days ago after getting hit by a line drive.

Today when I push on the leg below the bruise, it leaves a dent for about thirty seconds.

How serious should I consider this? I feel no pain, and I assume it is just fluids draining, so I would ordinarily just ice it and treat it at home.
