I Been To The ER Already And They Said It

I been to the ER already and they said it sounds like my legiments are messed up and that I have to make appointment with a surgeon to find out what all is wrong with my knee. They doctor give me Hydrocodone 5mg for pain and I have to take 3 of them to work. I don't go to my surgeon till a week from now and the pain is getting worse what can I do for the pain or take
