I Believe I Fractured One Of My Ribs About 5

I believe I fractured one of my ribs about 5 years ago (even if it wasn't fractured, it was hit very hard and was swollen with a small laceration and pain) but I never went to the hospital because I knew there wasn't much that could be done. After it had healed, I noticed that a lump is left behind that is smooth and feels like it's part of the bone. I'm wondering if it is due to the trauma or if it is something I should be concerned about? Like a tumor? I assumed it was because of the injury because it showed up on that specific rib but now I am questioning it. It does have some pain occasionally but it usually only occurs if I bump it somehow although it hasn't caused any pain in some time.
