I Believe I Have Food Poisoning From An Undercooked Steak

I believe I have food poisoning from an undercooked steak at a local restaurant. I had severe diarrhea yesterday coupled with aches, pains, elevated pulse and a slight fever . It was fine last night and this morning but started acting up again, diarrhea only. I did have breakfast and lunch. Is it ok to take anti-diarrhea medicine for tomorrow only since I will be traveling for the day.
