I Believe I May Have One Or Two Badly Bruised,

I believe I may have one or two badly bruised, or possibly fractured ribs. I am unsure if there are any other injuries resulting from the event causing the rib injury. Every so often (~2 - 5 times an hour) I with l have a sudden, sharp, intake of breath (unanticipated), that feels similar to a hiccup. Is this an indication of additional injury? or some sort of complication with the lungs? I just had another as I wrote this, and one only minutes before. So my earlier estimate of the frequency is probably much lower than I am actually experiencing... based on the two in the last 10 minutes, I would guess it must be more like 10-12 times an hour. I appreciate any information that can be provided and will follow-up with my doctor if that seems to be the recommendation.
