I Believe I May Carpal Tunnel Syndrome Because I Have

I believe i may carpal tunnel syndrome because i have pain on the back of wrist; slightest touch causes discomfort, is that true? Also, yesterday I began to feel pain in my lower left hand side of my back towards the rear. is this a symptom of a kidney problem or something?
