I Believe That I Have White Piedra. I Cannot Go

I believe that I have white piedra. I cannot go to a dermatologist since I don't have insurance. It is very mild. I have already shaved the affected area on my hair short but I see a few yeast bodies on the sides of my temporal hair shaft. I don't know how I picked this up but it started back in February. It seems localized,my bangs being affected worse, hence the recommended shaving by other sites. Is 1% selenium sulfide shampoo effective to treat this? No itching or scalp involvement whatsoever. Only confined to the hair shaft itself.
