I Broke All Three Bones In My Ankle Back In

I broke all three bones in my ankle back in sept. Two side ones are played and screwed. My doctor didn't do any thing with front bone on ankle still having pain and sounds like bone is grinding together. Went back had ex ray.all good he told me I just had a real bad break will take time to heal does this sound right for time since I broke it?
