I Broke My Finger In A Car Door Two Weeks

I broke my finger in a car door two weeks ago. hospital put Neosporin and a poorly fitting splint on and sent me on my way with no meds whatsoever. was doing ok, still sore, but now im noticing tiny red pinpricks under my skin. I want to make sure this is not a sign of infection. can you help me?
