I Broke My Leg And Have Been In Bed For

I broke my leg and have been in bed for a week on pain medications I haven't gone poop for the entire week and feel awful. My mom says it constipation and I just need some softeners' they haven't really helped I can still fart and I'm not bloated or anything what's wrong?
