I Broke Out In Shingles This Past Friday And Am

I broke out in shingles this past Friday and am taking one of the prescribed medications. This Labor Day weekend my entire family get together for a picnic on Sunday. A brother-in-law has had a glioblastoma removed from the brain and has completed chemo and radiation. Should I refrain from this event so as not to compromise his health?
