I Broke Two Ribs Which Caused A Partial Collapsed Lung

I broke two ribs which caused a partial collapsed lung 4 months ago. I had a chest tube put in because air was escaping my chest cavity and causing a bulge in my side whenever I coughed. My side is still popping out some when I cough, and there is a gap between two of my ribs where the bulge comes out I think. I went to my doctor and got X-ray's of my chest and they said my lung was healed. So what is causing the bulge and the gap? Did my ribs heal wrong or is it a bigger problem?
