I Bruise Easy,all I Have To Do Is Hit My

I bruise easy,all I have to do is hit my hand or arm lightly and there it is. I am 74 and notice my skin is thin. Is this because of age or should I be concerned of something else else going on. Also a female cousin recently died from Muslims(so) Thank you
