I Bruised And Scraped My Shin By Hitting The Edge

I bruised and scraped my shin by hitting the edge of a platform bed. there was virtually no bleeding, however, after a few days the area remained sensitive and became red. I was prescribed Sulfamethooxazole-tmp ds anf have taken it for several days, yet see no improvement.to the contrary, my leg appears to be swelling somewhat. what to do?
