I Burned My Upper Lip Waxing 2 Weeks Ago Tomorrow

I burned my upper lip waxing 2 weeks ago tomorrow and am now left with a dark dry patch on the side of my mouth. The first two days I kept neosporin on it until it became so hard and just flaked off. I have been keeping it moisturized since but it is still very dark. What do I do aside from exfoliating the dry skin to make the hyper-pigmentation go away?
