I came down with a case of 'Shingles' in 2011. I telephone the Clinic and then quarantined myself for the first three days as I was told to do. I then went to the Clinic and the Doctor prescribed medication and cream.
I then felt numbness in my legs and hands. Had no feeling in my fingers. While preparing a meal, I cut myself and did not notice until after I found blood on kitchen counter. I found a Doctor accepting new patients. She was no help. Her words were "It's not Shingles and I can't help you." I then found another Doctor, patient and wonderful who said, "I don't know what is casing this, but I won't stop until we find out."
She made arrangements for tests at the University, Edmonton and also made an appointment with Dr.
Senaratne, Savitri C., Specialist. She prescribed: Ratio-Methotrex two tablets per week and Folic acid one tablet twice per week. I can now hold a needle in my fingers and do hand sewing and knitting again, but my legs are that are giving me trouble. I have such pain in my left leg from above my ankle and then to below my knee, but this has now come above my knee to my hip. I have trouble walking and have fallen twice. I take a sleeping pill Pms-ZopiModelclone when going to bed but wake up two hours later because of the pain in my leg. Is there any medication which would reduce the pain in my leg? Better add, I'm a 1928 model.
