I Contracted Hives The Last Week Of January, 2016 And

I contracted hives the last week of January, 2016 and subsequently experienced post-herpetic neuralgia that has continued till now, 8/16/16. I have been taking gabapentin and added pregabalin recently and while they help they have only been temporary and partial relief. The shingles attacked the right side of my body from my bellybutton to my spine and my most intense pain is felt like a stabbing continuous feeling on my right front neurons and a stinging, itching sensation further right and back and particularly along my spine. I have found Icy/Hot cream with Lidocaine the only temporary relief and I am now experiencing an increased and extended hives and wonder if I am allergic to same. Also, what else can I do to find some relief?
