I Currently Have A Sinus Infection And I Just Sneezed

I currently have a sinus infection and I just sneezed out a very large, clumpy, thick piece of snot out of my nose and there was a little blood mixed in as well. It was extremely thick not like typical snot/mucus. I had to pinch it very hard in the tissue between my fingers to get it to break apart, but even then it stayed mostly intact. I have had this happen before when I am sick. Is this normal?
