I Currently Have The Birth Control Implanon, Which Has Expired

I currently have the birth control Implanon, which has expired a couple months ago. I continued having regular periods the entire 3years. Is that normal? What is the likelihood of falling pregnant because it is expired. I never stopped having a period so I didn't have to wait for regular periods to start up again.
