I Cut A Small Area Of The Knuckle On My

I cut a small area of the knuckle on my thumb with a potato peeler. I have kept a bandage and antibiotic ointment on it but every time I change the bandage, it opens up again. Is there anything more I can do to stop the bleeding? It is not gushing, but it is kind of hard to keep from moving your thumb.
