I Cut My Finger And It Was A Bit Deep..there

I cut my finger and it was a bit deep..there was oozing blood but when pressure was applied minimal bleeding was noted.the tip of the finger seemed more red as i have placed gauze and some pressure on wound area. Is it normal?no numbness noted on the finger and sensation is present.do i need to have it stitched?
