I Cut My Hymen With My Fingernail Because I Didn't

I cut my hymen with my fingernail because I didn't have any scissors and it was really annoying with taking tampons out and stuff like that, and I've done research and everyone "never do that you can die from an infection" but I have been researching and I can't figure it out! What infection will I get! How will I know I have it! And how do I prevent it! I can't uncut it so don't scold me for not going to the doctor. I'm 15 and I don't talk to my mom about this type of stuff.
