I Cut Quite Deeply Into The Skin At The Base

I cut quite deeply into the skin at the base of my inner thumb yesterday afternoon. Since then it has been bleeding a little but my thumb has felt hot and sore to the touch in areas other than the wound, and also my sensation in the thumb feels numbed and prickly. Should I be worried?
