I Cut The Tip Of My Finger. There Is Not

I cut the tip of my finger. There is not much skin left so I think stitches are out of the question. I could be wrong. My question is, is newskin liquid bandage a suitable thing to use on an open cut. I know it will burn like hell, but that doesn't concern me. I just want to know if it will help or harm more than just cleaning and wrapping it alone. Please help, thank you!
