I Cut The Top Of My Left Thumb Around 6

I cut the top of my left thumb around 6 hours ago with a clean knife. I can't tell how deep it is. I clean it up and put a bandaid in it but my them bleed thru the first bandaid. I clean it up again and it doesn't look like it bleed thru this time. But now it hurts a lot when I move it. Plus it feel sorta numb. I'm getting scared and need to know if I need to get it stitched up or go to the emergency room for something that overall seems very small & minor.
