I Did The Splits And Might Not Have Warmed Up

I did the splits and might not have warmed up good enough, pushed myself too far and got this intense pain in my right harmstring, went all the way from knee to lower back, now one week later pain is not too intense, tried doing the split again today after a really good warmup, seems my flexibilty is gone and it hurts like hell ! What should I do? Rest? Keep pushing it?
