I Don't Do Much Handwriting Anymore (all Typing Now), But

I don't do much handwriting anymore (all typing now), but today I had to write an entire page by hand and I realized that my handwriting has deteriorated badly. I struggled to make my hands write and my script was terrible. Is this common when you don't handwrite much over several years? Or should I be worried that my small muscle control is not really good?
