I Ended A 10 Day Round Of Augmentin Yesterday (Friday).

I ended a 10 day round of augmentin yesterday (Friday). I am on birth control and have not had intercourse during the time I was on the pill. I was told that I should use a back up method for the rest of my pill cycle. I took my last pill today, but I am wondering if it would be okay to continue with my next pack of pills, thus delaying/ skipping my period for this month. Would doing this be okay since I was on the antibiotic? Will it make this round of pills effective still?
