I Ended My Period Almost Two Weeks Ago. Today Was

I ended my period almost two weeks ago. Today was my first day of ovulation. Shortly after my partner and i started having sex i started bleeding heavily.. It was dark similar to when i have my period and also had large clots also similar to my period. Why could this have happened?
