I Entered An Airport Body Scanner Recently And They Stopped

I entered an airport body scanner recently and they stopped me and searched physically 3 areas on my body that showed up on the scan. I have arthritis and paid. In my hips and also have some pain in my right shoulder where the scan showed hot spots. Is it possible that these scanners can detect arthritis??
