I Feel A Week Ago And Bruised My Shin. I

I feel a week ago and bruised my shin. I went to Urgent care and they said it was a deep bruise. However, I did the rest, ice and elevation as suggested but now the area outside of the bruise is numb and actually throbs from time to time. What should I now do. Could I have a blood clot?
