I Feel Tightness In The Left Side Of My Neck.

I feel tightness in the left side of my neck. I had a life line screen about a yr and a half ago and was told there was a mild to moderate build up of plaque in my carotid artery. I have not had a chance to follow up to see whether it has progressed. Should I be concerned or is it possibly just muscle soreness in my neck. I take BP meds and my pressure is usually under control. I have no other symptoms, i.e. not light headed or anything like that. Should I be worried? Thanks!
