I Fell 8 Ft From A Ladder July 2016 Was

I fell 8 ft from a ladder July 2016 was misdiagnosed at hospital. Said nothing was broken. Well after suffering and giving it time to get well, I finally went to a emergency room, different hospital. I have 3 broken ribs and lots of swelling still. The swelling has never gone away. Why is it taking so long to heal , I have also have history of back surgeries and currently have to have another one .
