I Fell A Few Steps Today And Hit My Head

I fell a few steps today and hit my head and had a " goose egg" that after using ice it has gone down, but still tender I developed a headache but after a good nap have no other symptoms other than my head being tender. Should I be concerned about a concussion, or anything else to be concerned about? One other ? my daughter is having a baby and she has told me I need a vaccination, whooping cough, is this the common thing to do now? What are the risk with this vaccine? Thanks1
