I Fell And Hit The Top Of My Head Oct.8

I fell and hit the top of my head Oct.8 and had a large knot immediately. It lasted several days. It did not break the skin. It still has a small ridge and it is sore. Since then I have a swollen lymph node in my neck on the same side. I went to the Dr. and ask about the lymph node and he thought it was from my tonsils being swollen as I had one underneath my chin also. I did not mention my head injury. It has been 9 days since I started the antibiotics. Is it normal for the lymph node to stay enlarged that long? My Dr. retired the day I saw him so didn't have him to ask.
