I Fell Down And Got A Scrape On My Knee.

I fell down and got a scrape on my knee. The next day i picked at the dry scab and removed it. Clear while liquid came out. After a few hours it hardened and it looks like a wax coating on a floor now. Is this liquid helpful to the healing, or is it a symptom of something bad?
