I Fell Down The Stairs Last Week Hurt My Shin

I fell down the stairs last week hurt my shin bone swelled right away could walk on it but was sore. But a week later it's still very swollen and hot their is a big bruise dark at the edges but yellow in the middle and it's now pain full when lying down at night, a throbbing pain I have noticed a dark bruise at the side of my heel which isn't sore. Do you think I may have chipped my shin bone?
