I Fell Playing Basketball And I Stuck My Hand Out

I fell playing basketball and I stuck my hand out so I would not hit my head and landed on my hand, I got up and kept playing for 2 more minutes after the game was over I noticed my thumb was hurting a lot. I could not even turn the key to start my car.. I went to took advil and the next day it felt better. This occured week ago today, my thumb still hurts a little but i can move it well and there is no swelling but there is this weird bump on the side of knuckle of my thumb and hurts a little when i touch it. Should i get it checked out?
