I Fell With A Pendulum Action And Hurt My Foot

I fell with a pendulum action and hurt my foot 3 days ago . There is swelling on the top part of my foot and bruising and a rather sharp pain on the bottom outside area of my foot, but it is not very severe--. I does not hurt much unless I put weight on it. How should I treat it? Thanks for any information you can give me.
