I Finished Taking Tetracycline, 250mg 4x Day, And Metronidazole ,

I finished taking tetracycline, 250mg 4x day, and metronidazole , 250 mg 4x day, for H. Pylori bacteria. At this time, I started to itch, and continue to have watery stool, and diarrhea , which I emailed my primary care physician, and a nurse called and said that it is side effects from having taken the medications. It's been about 10 days , since I finished the medication, should it be taking this long for side effects to go away? Thank you.
