I Found A Lump Between My Neck And Shoulder, Kinda

I found a lump between my neck and shoulder, kinda soft and squishy about the size of a lemon , its on my left side it does not hurt, and I've been fighting a cough and vold for almost two weeks. I don't know how long I've had it, but it scares me .... Can my cold have caused it?
