I Found A Small Sore Bump In My Armpit A

I found a small sore bump in my armpit a day ago and its still sore today. About the size of a small pea or beebee pellet, looks a little purple. I'm a 53 year old woman going through menopause, experiencing sweating, so maybe it's just a blocked gland? Should I wait a week to see if it persists or should I make a Dr appointment immediately?
