I Found Out From An Old Family Friend That My

I found out from an old family friend that my 91 year old dad had TB when he was a young man. No one in my family knew. He was recently hospitalized with pneumonia like symptoms, i.e. severe caugh, phlegm, fever (102), weight loss. They tested his sputum but found no evidence of a bacterial or viral infection. They did not know his history and did not test for TB. They did find advanced pulmonary fibrosis. He subsequently died. Could he have gone from LTB to active TB? If so, should I get a TB test?
