I Found Out Last Night That I Have Bedbugs In

I found out last night that I have bedbugs in my home. I looked it up online and seen that I should tell my supervisor at work because supposedly bedbugs can travel on your clothes. I work in an in home care setting and don't know whether I should stay home and take care of the problem or if it would be safe for me to go work.
