I Fracture/dislocated L2-L3 In 1997. The Doctors Then Preformed A

I fracture/dislocated L2-L3 in 1997. The doctors then preformed a fusion with Harrington rods. They were removed in 2002 due to rod dislocation. Here i am today, seeing pain mngmnt and taking Methadone and Gabapentin for primary chronic pain relief. Today i slipped in the shower and did something and I have extreme pain that feels simular to what I experienced with the initial injury. I think it may be a slipped disc? Anyway, what is the best medication for this type of breakthru pain? Is there anything new i can request to try? I think im headin to the ER, this pain is too much.
